May 19, Docent Katy Sullivan will discuss the sculpture, "Shipwrecked Mother and Child" by Edward Augustus Brackett. This large white marble sculpture created in about 1850 had been in storage for decades at the Worcester Art Museum. It is currently undergoing conservation work in the Jeppson Idea Lab.

June 2, Docent Shelley Rodman will discuss Doris Salcedo’s narrative sculpture, La Casa Viuda (The Widowed House). Deeply affected by the protracted violence and civil war in her native Colombia, Doris Salcedo began a series of narrative sculptures in 1992 built around found doors and based on first-hand evidence from victims’ families and loved ones whom she sought out and interviewed.
