"Chiaroscuro" printmaking developed during the Renaissance, and produces 'painterly' three-dimensional illusion from two or more relief blocks. Using linoleum or basswood we will print our designs in black and white or color. The instructor will guide students from the process of image-making through cutting and printing using this historical variation of relief printmaking. Some materials provided.
