Beginner Watercolor Class Supply List

Professional grade recommended colors: Permanent Rose, Cadmium Yellow Light or Aureolin, Cobalt or Cerulean Blue, Viridian, Dioxazine purple, Cadmium Orange. A couple of my other favorites are: Quinacridone Gold, Ultramarine and Prussian Blue, Scarlet Lake and Sap Green
- Both tube and pan watercolors may be used, depending on individual preference.

I prefer a synthetic/sable blend but there are some good synthetics out there such as Loew Cornell Ultra Rounds and Beste brushes.

Try to include a couple of rounds, a ¾” flat, a liner and a scrubber. I will talk about materials in detail in the first class.

High-quality watercolor paper in various textures (cold-pressed, hot-pressed, rough).

Inexpensive sheets or watercolor pads for practice and exercises.

A mixing palette with ample space for blending and mixing colors.

It can be a traditional palette made of plastic or porcelain, or a foldable/travel palette. A palette with a lid is recommended.
