Learn to capture this subject matter in the 2D medium of your choice, working from photographs, sketches, and WAM's collection, develop ideas and explore perspective, color, light, and composition.  

Recommended supplies:

 Come to the first class with basic drawing supplies :

     18” x 24” white drawing paper and/or sketch pad – 11” x 14”

     Drawing board to fit 18” x 24” pad; clips (those black ones with “silver wings’)

     HB, 2B,5B graphite drawing pencils

     Medium vine charcoal

    6B graphite stick

 Bring a few landscape photos that you think you might like to work from; A COMPUTER TABLET OR LAPTOP IS GREAT TO USE!

I will also bring source material that you might want to use.

      Optional Supplies:

In this class you will be able to work in the color medium of your choice, so come to the first

    class with what supplies you think you might like to use; we will discuss what else you might

    need and I will also provide you with information regarding materials you might not be familiar 

    with.
