From quick sketches to rich, painterly applications, experiment with pastels and become comfortable with this versatile medium. Work from still life, landscape, and a portrait model as you try different papers and methods of application. Model fee included.

18” x 24” piece of grey Canson MiTientes pastel paper

18” x 24” piece of white Canson MiTientes pastel paper

Pack of three sticks of medium vine charcoal

18” x 24” drawing board padded with 12 sheets of 18” x 24” newsprint drawing paper

Clips to hold both padding and your pastel paper

3 sticks of Rembrandt soft pastels: grey, black, and white
