XCLD - 25AFMXD100 - From One's Own Holler: An Exploration of American Folk Art through Mixed Media
THIS CLASS HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO LOW ENROLLMENT
Anabel Hadad
Tue, 9/17–12/3, 5–9 pm (No class 10/1 or 11/26)
Re-imagine Folk Art and challenge ideas put in place to distinguish Folk Art from the rest of the western canon. We will look at the history of craft and art from the Appalachian region to inform mixed media practices including drawing and painting. Folk Art is regarded as an American tradition, and students should feel encouraged to bring their own diverse identities to represent every form of experience through their work.
[ALL] $260
