Land, homes, gathering places, and everyday objects carry traces of the communities that shape them. In this mixed-media class, explore the shared ground between personal identity, group life, and the environment. Drawing inspiration from traditions of landscape and social imagery, use maps, photographs, and altered objects to create artworks that connect self and setting. Reflect on the layered histories of Massachusetts while considering how forces of nature shape both society and the psyche. [ALL]
