Students will learn to draw using line, shape, form, as well as the fundamentals of composition, concept, and content. By the end of this course, students will feel comfortable creating images from both still-life, and the natural world. [BEG]

Required materials:
- Newsprint paper pad (no smaller than 11”x14”)
- Drawing paper pad (No smaller than 11”x14”, make sure it says “drawing” not “sketch”
- Artist loft sketching and drawing pencil set. (Can be any brand but this one has a kneaded eraser, sharpener, and blenders.) If you wish to purchase each pencil individually you will need an HB, B, 2H, 2B, and 8B pencil.
- Vine charcoal (medium or thick preferred.)
Nice to have:
- Compressed charcoal
- Colored pencils
- Pastels
- Personal sketchbook of any size
- Pencil sharpener of X-acto knife
- Pigma micron 6-piece pen set
- Some sort of box or carrying case.
