This course is an introduction to the fundamentals of drawing, concentrating on line, value, proportion, spatial relationships, compositional planning, and the use of drawing tools. Through real objects, portrait models, from photos and your imagination, obtain basic skills that allow for personal expression. [BEG]

- HB Pencil
- 2B Pencil
- 5B or Ebony Pencil
- Soft Charcoal Pencil
- Medium vine charcoal (package of 3 sticks)
- White vinyl eraser
- Kneaded eraser
- 18”x24” white drawing paper
- Pencil sharpener or X-Acto Knife
- Clips
Nice to have:
- Workable fixative
- Drawing board for 18”x24” paper
