Workshop prices vary, but you can save by registering for the entire week!

Teen Intensive Workshop Descriptions:

  • Monday – Drawing Intensive ($50) Working with charcoal, graphite, ink, and additional media, push yourself to see more, think differently, and draw in new ways.  This class will help you develop ideas for future work.
  • Tuesday – Portraiture Intensive ($60) Work from the Museum’s collection and from a model in the studio to develop a variety of portraits in different styles.
  • Wednesday – Painting Intensive ($50) Learn new tips and tricks for working with acrylic, watercolor, and gouache.  Experiment with tools, techniques, and methods to bring more interest and polish to your work.
  • Thursday – Figure Painting Intensive ($60) Observing a clothed life model, experiment with dynamic figural poses and working directly from the figure in ink and paint.
  • Friday – Studio Intensive ($40) If you have attended two other workshops this week, come back on Friday to continue working in your chosen media, with a focus on building skills and improving technique.


To register for the full week, on the top listing that costs $225.00, enter the number of students you are registering for the weeks’ worth of workshops in the quantity field.  Then scroll to the bottom and click Register.

To register for individual workshops. Below the top listing, click the link that says Show Individual Events. In each workshop you want to register a child for, enter the number of students you are registering in the quantity fields.  Then scroll to the bottom and click Register.


PLEASE NOTE This fall there will be construction work occurring in the Higgins Education Wing as the windows and skylights in the wing are being replaced.  If there will be any effect on your class, such as a change in studio, we will let you know ASAP.

This class will need to meet minimum enrollment of 5 students to run.

Parking: You may park in any Museum lot or choose on-street parking, if available.


Drop off: Enter the Museum via the Lancaster Street Entrance using either the stairs or the new elevator entrance just past the stairs.  You will meet your instructor in the Lancaster Lobby.
