Nan Hass Feldman

A two day workshop to explore shapes, colors, and compositions using color aid paper, cut up prints, and painted papers to plan your paintings. Reducing the collage to beautiful colors and simplified shapes helps further paintings on larger scales. Using John Evans, Wolf Kahn, and Matisse as inspirations, we will construct many sketches leading to paintings using any medium of choice.

Student Supplies

  • color aid paper
  • old prints
  • scissors
  • gel medium
  • paint of choice: acrylics, oils, water-soluable oils, gouache, watercolor
  • brushes
  • ground: paper, canvas, or panel.
