Shake things up by starting in the galleries with observational drawing and finishing in the studios with exploratory watercolor! Learn drawing tips for and how to use loose washes and heavily pigmented strokes to transform a piece.
Student Supplies
a sketch book and pencil and kneaded eraser.
Any kind of watercolors either tubes or pan set. A good size round watercolor brush, size 12 or 14.
Watercolor paper 140lb cold press.
REGARDING ONLINE CLASSES:Students should familiarize themselves with Zoom software prior to the beginning of the first class session. Instructions will be sent on how to create a free Zoom account and how to sign in to the secure Zoom classroom the business day before class begins. Teens are welcome in Online Adult Classes if they are comfortable with the medium. This class will need to meet a minimum enrollment of 5 students to run. The class maximum will be 10 students.
REGARDING IN-PERSON CLASSES:PLEASE NOTE This fall there will be construction work occurring in the Higgins Education Wing as the windows and skylights in the wing are being replaced. If there will be any effect on your class, such as a change in studio, we will let you know ASAP.
This class will need to meet a minimum enrollment of 5 students to run.
Students may park in any Museum lot or choose on-street parking, if available. Enter the Museum via the Lancaster Street Entrance using either the stairs or the new elevator entrance just past the stairs. You may proceed to your studio to meet your instructor.
