Experiment with solvent transfers, cyanotypes, emulsion chemistry, layered mark making, and unconventional acts of burning, staining, soaking, and abrasion. Adult Course Student Supply List (for students to purchase and bring):

Note: Students don’t need to buy anything before first class, we will be discussing required materials and projects during first meeting.

Required Materials:

• Mixed-media or watercolor paper in preferred sizes

• A selection of personal photographs, photocopies, printed images, and text

• Reclaimed light-colored natural fabric such as cotton or muslin

• Preferred drawing and painting materials

• Scissors

Nice to Have:

• Found papers, packaging, maps, book pages, or other ephemera

• Additional fabrics or unusual absorbent surfaces

• Personal paints, inks, or collage materials

• Small found objects, natural materials, or stencils for cyanotypes

• Paraffin or beeswax for resist experiments

• Preferred glues or Mod Podge
