This class is perfect for those who want to learn or continue to refine basic watercolor techniques and to develop their skills in a fun and supportive environment. Understand the process of mixing colors, creating textures, and mastering brushstrokes. All you need is a few basic materials and your enthusiasm! [BEG]

Recommended Supplies below, feel free to adjust as needed based on materials you prefer, as some students will be beginning, and some will be returning, you do not need these exact materials. 

• Watercolor Paints: Professional grade recommended colors:  Permanent Rose, Cadmium Yellow Light or Aureolin, Cobalt or Cerulean Blue, Viridian, Dioxazine purple, Cadmium Orange. A couple of my other favorites are:  Quinacridone Gold, Ultramarine and Prussian Blue, Scarlet Lake and Sap Green - Both tube and pan watercolors may be used, depending on individual preference. 
• Watercolor Brushes: Try to include a couple of rounds, a ¾” flat, a liner and a scrubber. 
• Watercolor Paper: High-quality watercolor paper in various textures (cold-pressed, hot-pressed, rough). Inexpensive sheets or watercolor pads for practice and exercises. 
• A mixing palette with ample space for blending and mixing colors. It can be a traditional palette made of plastic or porcelain, or a foldable/travel palette.  A palette with a lid is recommended. 
• Masking fluid or masking tape
• Sketchbook: Bee Paper 9x12in Super Deluxe Mixed Media 
• Soft pencil (HB) for sketching and planning. Kneaded or white plastic eraser for lightening or removing pencil lines. 
•  A spray bottle. 
• Paper Towels or Tissues
•  Hairdryer, Apron or Smock
