Workshop Descriptions:
Magic in the Stars: Mythical ConstellationsExplore the constellations! Paint and design your own “night sky” filled with mythical creatures and legendary heroes, connecting stars to stories.
Dragons of the East and WestFrom European dragon-slaying knights to benevolent Eastern dragons, this workshop dives into the iconic dragon myths of different cultures. Use mixed media to design your own dragon puppet, deciding if it will be fierce, friendly, or magical!
Into the LabyrinthDiscover mythical creatures of the world and design your own labyrinth maze. Bring your labyrinth story to life, designing a character to navigate it, who will encounter challenges and mythical beasts along the way.
Legends of the SeaDive into tales of mermaids, krakens, and selkies, and craft your own ocean creature masks. Add glitter and gems to give your sea creature masks a mystical touch!
Hero ShieldsInspired by shields and symbols in the museum, design your own “hero shield,” illustrating symbols of strength, courage, and wisdom. Use cardboard, paint, and foil to create a shield that represents your unique hero qualities.
