Refine and expand your watercolor techniques and creative skills through guided demonstrations, individual painting time, and personalized feedback. Whether working on landscapes, still life's, or abstract compositions, receive tailored, personalized instruction.

Intermediate Watercolor Class Recommended Supply List


Bring whatever materials you typically work with to the first class. Below is a list of many of the materials that I use for your reference.  
Watercolor Paints:
•    A professional-grade set of watercolor paints with a wide range of colors.
•    Both tube and pan watercolors can be used, depending on individual preference.
Watercolor Brushes:
•    Various brushes in different shapes and sizes, including rounds, flats, and liners.
Watercolor Paper:
•    2 pieces of high-quality watercolor paper cut to 15 X 11 (2 quarter sheets)
•    Inexpensive watercolor sheets or pads for practice
Palette:
•    A mixing palette with ample space for blending and mixing colors.
•    It can be a traditional palette made of plastic or porcelain, or a foldable/travel palette.
Masking Fluid:
•    Masking fluid or masking tape to preserve white areas and create textures.

Sketchbook:

•    Bee Paper 9x12 or 11X14 Super Deluxe Mixed Media or Canson Mixed Media
Miscellaneous:
•    Hb Pencil for sketching and planning.
•    Kneaded eraser for lightening or removing pencil lines or white plastic eraser.
•    Graphite Paper
•    Palette knives for lifting color, creating textures, and scraping.A Holbein spray bottle filled with water for creating various watercolor effects.
•    A larger spray bottle for reigniting your pigments and special effects.
•    Low-tack masking tape for creating clean edges and borders.
•    Board or plexi at least 1” larger than your paper
•    Bounty or Wegman’s brand paper towels.
Reference Materials:
•    Bring in some of your photos or sketches for reference.
•    Magazines, books, or printouts can also be helpful.

Hairdryer and Apron or Smock: Optional but nice to have!
