Poppies in Acrylic Supply List
Acrylic Paints
Please bring the paints you are typically work with. I will most likely be working with soft body acrylics (the ones that come in bottles not tubes). You'll want to be sure to have a white and a warm and cool version of each of the primaries (Red, Yellow and Blue) as well f each of the secondaries (Orange, Green and Violet).
Some of my favorite colors are: Permanent Rose, Cadmium Red Light, Cadmium Yellow Light, Yellow Ochre, Cerulean, Ultramarine Blue, Sap Green, Cadmium Orange, Dioxazine Purple.
A 14 X 18 inch (or similar size) canvas
Sketches will be completed together during class.
Brushes
Please bring the brushes you typically use. If you don’t have them, you may want to add a 3/4" flat brush and a script liner (or rigger) to your collection for this course. A larger flat brush for base coating the canvas and applying varnish will save you some time if you have one.
Miscellaneous Materials to Bring
Paper Towels/Rags
Graphite Paper (Craft Smart brand from Michaels is good) for transferring the drawing to your canvas.
Paper (or other) Palette
Satin Varnish
Spray Bottle
A Blow Dryer can be a very handy thing to have with you as well.
