The Artistic Power of Myth

Visit the Museum's collection to explore various myths and how they have been depicted. Then create your own imagery influenced by mythology. Work in drawing, painting, mixed media, collage, or relief printing. The 'power' is all yours! ALL $175

Basic Art Supplies - 

• Students should bring their own art supplies, based on their personal interests and the type of art they want to create.

• Drawing pencils 

• Colored pencils 

• Sketchpads (size 5x7" up to 9x12")

For the First Class

• Bring either charcoal or colored pencils and a sketchbook

For Oil Pastel or Oil Painting

• Ideally use water-soluble oil pastels.

• If using traditional oil paints:
  Use Neo-Megilp and Terpenoid Natural as your mediums (these are safer alternatives).

• Do NOT bring:

  • Gamsol, Odorless terpenoid or Turpentine (These are toxic and not allowed.)
