Creating Paintings with Mixed Media

Relieve your stress through painting and mixed media techniques. Learn how to use paint, crayons, colored pencils, acrylic mediums, graphite, charcoal, found images, and photographs to create vibrant and colorful works of art. ALL $200

Supplies

Ideas and suggested materials will be discussed further in the first class, please arrive on the first day with your choice/combination of mediums as well as a base like a large mixed media sketchbook, or canvas/canvas board. 

For your inspiration, this is a suggested supply list

• Paints- Acrylic, watercolor and or gouache
• Liquitex Matt or gloss medium
• Paint brushes – any kind – you only need one round
• Palettes – any kind: Styrofoam, paper plates, disposable sheets
• Graphite pencils, charcoal, crayons (waxed and or water base)
• Oil pastels and or dry pastels, and or colored pencils ****(You do not need all of these but maybe one)
• Markers – any kind, black and or colored (just a few)
• Supports:  Heavy paper (mixed media or watercolor) at least 140 lb
• Canvas, canvas board, acrylic paper, watercolor board, etc
• Magazine images, photos, decorative papers, any small found objects
• Mediums and Glues: Just one or two
• Light or heavy molding paste (Light will dry faster)
