“Chinese landscape paintings are placed between the margins of heaven and earth.” - V.T. Diep. This course will cover the basic elements of traditional Chinese landscape: mountains/rocks,trees/bushes/grass, water/waterfalls, clouds, boats, pagodas, buildings, and figures. Once these elements are covered, we will practice putting them together to create simple landscapes.
