Learn techniques of the old masters and contemporary taste-makers as you create your own oil painting masterpieces. We will focus on cultivating realism through lessons in proportions, layers, shadow, color, and composition. Students will be encouraged to paint subject matter of their choice through diverse prompts. All skill levels welcome. $255

Recommended Materials 
 
• sketchbook
• variety of oil paint colors
• Gamsol or odorless mineral spirits
• variety of paint brushes
• a few canvases or wood boards (only need one to start)
• palette or palette paper
• rags
Optional
• linseed oil / mediums 
• small glass jars / bowls 
• cardboard box for transporting wet paintings
Note: Don’t feel pressure to have the perfect supplies for the first class. Bring what you can and I will provide more info when we meet!
