April Vacation Week Workshop Schedule for ages 13-17 years
Monday (4/17) - Collagraph Printing - printmaking - Collagraphy is a distinct artistic process combining collage and printmaking. Learn to use textural materials to build low-relief plates, which you can ink and print in black and white or color. Explore a variety of methods and materials to make expressive prints.
Tuesday (4/18) - Alt Fashion - fiber/fashion - Use bleaching, printing, patching, and embroidery to alter garments and bags to breathe new life into them and give them your own special twist. You can even bring cotton garments of your own to alter.
Wednesday (4/19) - Screen Printing - printing - Learn the quick and accessible method of stencil printmaking to print images, posters, and even shirts. You will learn about developing a graphic design, cutting multiple stencils, and using the screen, squeegee, registration marks, and ink to make reproducible works.
Thursday (4/20) - Jewelry Design - sculpture - Using metal, glass, metallic polymer clay, and semi-precious gems, make your own pendants, earrings, keychains, tokens, and more.
Friday (4/21) - Composition Workshop - mixed media - Learn about different approaches to using space in your paintings, drawings, and images. Be introduced to and try out the rule of thirds, the golden triangle, iconic composition, leading the eye, and other compositional theories, create a few quick mini-compositions, and leave with fresh ideas for further artwork!

To register for individual workshops: Below the top listing, click the link that says Show Individual Events. In each workshop you want to register a child for, enter the number of students you are registering in the quantity fields. Then scroll to the bottom and click Register.
