8-weeks, 2-5PM

Working outside, local parks will provide the setting to explore fresh, personal interpretations of the landscape. Students should work in a medium they have tried and feel comfortable with, such as oils, acrylics, watercolor, or pastels. Spending about two classes on each painting, the first week will focus on motif, composition, and underpainting; the second week will build texture and refine color. $240

Supplies for Plein Air Landscape Painting

• A small sketchbook, a 2B pencil, eraser, and whatever oil, acrylic, or watercolor art supplies they already own.
• We will discuss during first class what additional supplies each person needs.
