This traditional Japanese embroidery and mending technique has evolved into a fine art over the centuries. Begin with basic sewing methods, materials, and historic patterns, and end with a design of your own on classic indigo cotton. No embroidery experience required. Returning students are welcome and encouraged to bring their fabrics to class to embroider! Textile allergy information: we are using cotton and silk. Materials included.
Student Supplies: Bring paper/sketchbook, pencil, and eraser to the first class, the instructor will go over any additional materials you may wish to bring to subsequent classes.
