Explore making work that responds to nature through landscape drawing/painting, organic sculpture, and an optional land art assignment. Discussion and Museum visits will focus on Impressionism, Romanticism, and the Environmental Art movement of the 1960s.

Student Supplies

Unless otherwise notified, please bring a sketchbook, pencil, eraser, and any other supplies you may want to bring to the first class. Your instructor will review supplies.

Construction work will be occurring in the Higgins Education Wing as the windows and skylights in the wing are being replaced. If there will be any effect on your class, such as a change in studio, we will let you know ASAP.
