Transform paintings from the Museum’s collection into vibrant found-object mosaics. Sketch in the galleries, then head to the studio to create with paint, cardboard, and an array of reclaimed materials.
Woven from Waste
Learn the basics of paper weaving, using materials like scrap paper, newspaper, and magazines. Then, design your own woven tapestry!

Create bold, surreal scenes using recycled magazines. Cut, layer, and reimagine familiar images into unexpected worlds, transforming everyday materials into collage compositions that blur reality and fantasy.
Upcycling Basics
Learn the basics of sewing while giving old fabric new life. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll upcycle garments and fabrics using a sewing machine — no experience needed. Design, stitch, and customize a one-of-a-kind piece while exploring sustainability, style, and creative problem-solving.
Assemblage
Discover how found objects and recycled materials can be used to make exciting 3D artwork. Experiment and build with shells, cardboard, beads, bottles, and more to create a unique sculpture.

Extended Day is a relaxed, fun social time with friends! Play games, make crafts, read a book...just a good time to unwind for our young artists after a full day of artmaking. Please pack a peanut- and tree nut-free snack.
